Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the complete OpsBell platform and how it operates.
What does OpsBell actually do?+
OpsBell is an AI Business Operations Intelligence platform — nine governed modules working as one system: AI Front Desk Autopilot, WhatsApp + Email Operations, Escalation & Human Takeover, a Unified Customer Timeline, the Revenue Recovery Engine / Money Map, an Owner Command Center, AI Social Media Marketing Autopilot, Website Studio, and an Agency Managed Operations layer — tied together by cross-channel scheduling, automated reporting, governance and autonomy control, an AI Proof of Work ledger, Business Memory, and outcome intelligence.
What is the Owner Command Center?+
A single home screen across every module — today's volume, open escalations, appointments, and revenue-risk signals, with what needs your attention surfaced first. It's the owner's view of the whole operating system, not just the inbox.
Is escalation separate from the approval queue?+
Yes. Approval is for routine drafts waiting on a quick sign-off. Escalation is a distinct queue for complaints, unusual requests, and anything outside a trusted category — built for a person to take over immediately, with its own priority and status tracking.
What does OpsBell report back to me?+
A Daily Business Pulse and a Weekly Business Review summarize activity and attention items across every active module, delivered by portal, email, or WhatsApp — alongside the Owner Command Center and an auditable AI Proof of Work record of what was automated, reviewed, or escalated.
Does the AI act completely on its own?+
No. Human review is the default everywhere. Autonomy is category-based, not tied to any one provider or channel — specific, low-risk categories can be explicitly enabled to act automatically across every connected email provider and WhatsApp once the AI is confident, and can graduate to a higher trust tier as they prove themselves. There is no global "AI on" switch anywhere in the product.
What happens with WhatsApp specifically?+
Every WhatsApp message is classified and understood in context. Eligible low-risk categories get an instant, governed automatic reply once proven; anything uncertain, sensitive, or substantive — a complaint, an unusual request, a booking that needs judgment — routes straight to your team's escalation queue for a human reply or takeover, with the result flowing into leads, appointments, and the customer timeline like every other channel.
What is the Revenue Recovery / Money Map?+
It's a worklist, not a revenue estimate: stalled leads with no recent activity, unanswered WhatsApp conversations, and subscriptions at risk of lapsing, surfaced before they're lost. It does not calculate dollar amounts or forecast revenue.
What do my clients see in the portal?+
A calm, read-only view of their active subscriptions, available services, and recent messages from your team — activated explicitly by your team, separate from any AI autonomy setting.
Can my whole team use it?+
Yes. Owner, admin, staff, and client roles each have access appropriate to them — staff can work day-to-day items without touching admin or billing controls.
Can an agency run this for multiple client businesses?+
Yes. A dedicated Agency Managed Operations layer handles client onboarding, module entitlement, and an explicit, audited hand-off for every client tenant from one platform — with no blanket impersonation.
How does pricing work?+
Four published plans — Starter, Growth, Pro, and Complete — each billed monthly or annually, with a published annual saving shown per plan. See the full rate card and what's included in each on our Pricing page.
Is there a free trial or self-serve signup?+
Not yet. Client accounts are currently set up directly with our team after a demo request — there is no self-serve signup flow today.
Is there a record of what changed and when?+
Yes. Audit logs track every sensitive action and workflow logs track every automated run, both viewable by owners and admins.
How are my credentials handled?+
Every connected provider — email, calendar, WhatsApp, and social — is authorized through that provider's own standard flow. Credentials are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
